Boli means the way you speak

Maybe you grew up hearing Punjabi or Hindi from your Nani or Dadi, and answering in English. Maybe your partner's family speaks it and you'd love your child to join in. Or maybe you're the grandparent, watching the words get quieter with each generation.

Little Boli is for all of you. We make small, bright picture books that help little ones say their first words in the language their family speaks, and help grown-ups read them out loud with confidence.

Every word is written three ways: in the real script, in easy English letters, and with a simple say-it guide. You don't need to read Gurmukhi or Devanagari to share these books. You just need a lap and a few minutes.

We start with the words children use every day: sun, mango, ball, cat. Then the people who matter most: Nani and Dadi, Masi and Bua, Chacha and Taya. Our books are about everyday life and family, for every family, whatever their faith.

Romanised spellings are a simple guide for English-speaking families, and pronunciation varies from region to region. If a word is said differently in your family, say it your family's way.
